About the Role

n

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, commercial management and successful delivery of construction projects from commencement through to completion.

n





Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
n
- Lead project planning, programming and resource allocation.
n
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
n
- Manage procurement, subcontractor engagement and contract administration.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
n
- Monitor project progress and implement strategies to achieve programme milestones.
n
- Manage project risks, variations and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
n
- Ensure compliance with Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
n
- Lead and mentor Site Managers, Contract Administrators, Site Engineers and project teams.
n
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
n
- Prepare project reports and present project performance to senior management.
n
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery.

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n




- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering commercial construction projects valued from $10M+.
n
- Experience delivering childcare centres, commercial developments and/or civil infrastructure projects.
n
- Experience working for a Tier 1 builder will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with experience working for Tier 2 builders or reputable commercial construction companies.
n
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
n
- Strong understanding of Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local construction practices.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland construction methodologies, compliance requirements and contractual obligations.
n
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, procurement, forecasting, cost reporting and contract administration.
n
- Experience managing variations, EOTs and subcontractor performance.
n
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
n
- Experience using Procore, Jobpac, Cheops or similar construction management software is highly regarded.
n
