Sam Technology Engineers is a Smithfield NSW based jobbing workshop, manufacturing equipment for the mining, materials handling and railway industries.

We are seeking a production foreman with trade based experience in fabrication and engineering.

n

The applicant's duties will include:

n

n
- Managing and directing the day to day work of the production team to ensure that work is carried out in a professional and timely manner by managing customer requirements and assigning jobs and resources, as required.
n
- Tool selection, assisting in project and job planning
n
- Providing 'on the floor' technical expertise to the production team (fabrication and fitting)
n
- Ensuring that the production team is motivated and managed
n
- Providing direction as to hours and monitoring time sheets
n
- Quality Assurance
n
- Work closely with production managers, engineers, and customers
n




- Monitor productivity, identify improvements, and implement solutions
n
- Manage material and equipment resources, liaise with supervisors on production needs and coordinate daily operations.
n

Required Qualifications

n

n
- Minimum 10 years experience
n
- Previous supervisory or lead role experience
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
n
- Solid communication and team leadership abilities
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and Quality Assuarance
n

n

Preferred Skills

n

n
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
n
- Ability to train and mentor apprentices
n
- Experience with fabricating and welding
n
