Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Lawyer with 5+ years' PAE to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Gordon on Sydney's North Shore.This opportunity will suit an experienced Property Lawyer looking for greater autonomy, direct client relationships and a broad property practice without the need to commute into the CBD.

The practice combines high-quality legal work with a practical, client-focused approach and offers experienced lawyers the opportunity to manage their own matters, develop strong client relationships and enjoy genuine autonomy within a supportive team.

The Opportunity
n
You will take responsibility for a varied property practice, working directly with clients and managing matters from initial instructions through to completion.
n
Your work will include:
n
n
- Acting on residential and commercial property transactions
n
- Managing sales and purchases from contract through to settlement
n
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for sale
n
- Advising on and preparing commercial and retail leases
n
- Handling matters involving easements and other property interests
n
- Conducting due diligence and advising clients on property-related risks
n
- Providing practical advice on NSW property law, land titles and regulatory requirements
n
- Liaising directly with clients, agents, lenders and other stakeholders
n
- Negotiating contractual and transactional issues to achieve commercially sensible outcomes
n
- Assisting with property disputes and related litigation where required
n
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's complementary practice areas
n

About You
n
You will be an experienced Australian-admitted solicitor with at least 5 years' post-admission experience, including a strong background in property law and conveyancing.
n
You will also bring:
n
n
- Strong experience across residential and commercial property transactions
n
- Demonstrated expertise drafting and negotiating property contracts and leases
n
- Sound knowledge of NSW property legislation, land title systems and regulatory requirements
n
- The ability to independently manage a busy and varied caseload
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
n
- Excellent drafting and attention to detail
n
- Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
n
- The ability to explain complex property issues in transparent, practical terms
n
- Confidence working with legal practice management systems and technology
n
- Sound commercial judgment and a solutions-focused approach
n
- A collaborative working style and commitment to delivering a high standard of client service
