The Role

n

We're looking for an experienced Carpenter with demonstrated leading hand capability to join our team. This is a trade-forward leadership role - you'll be hands-on on the tools every day while also taking responsibility for coordinating your crew and keeping jobs running smoothly. You'll work across a variety of residential projects, from new builds and extensions to outdoor entertaining and renovation work.

Key Responsibilities

n

Carry out all aspects of carpentry work including framing, formwork, doors, windows, decking, and flooring

n

Lead and coordinate a small crew on site, managing workflow, sequencing, and quality across the job

n

Liaise with the site supervisor and subcontractors to keep projects on programme

n

Mentor apprentices and less experienced team members

n

Ensure all work meets quality standards and WHS requirements

n

Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications

n

Skills & Experience

n





Trade-qualified Carpenter with a minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience

n

Proven leading hand or supervisory experience on residential building projects

n

Ability to plan and sequence work, manage a small team, and problem-solve on the run

n

Current driver's licence (Manual preferred)

n

White Card required

n

Strong communication and time management skills

n

Commitment to workmanship and site safety

n

Candidates must have a minimum of 5-8 years of carpentry experience to be considered for this Leading Hand position.

A minimum of 1-2 years of leading hand or supervisory experience is required for this role.
