The IWC is looking for a full-time cleaner/ maintenance worker to deliver services within our Bundaberg Offices.

n

ABOUT IWC:

IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.

n

ABOUT THE POSITION:

n

This position will support the WHS Officer in the upkeep and maintenance of IWC properties. The appointed person will need to have availability from 7:00am until 9:00pm, with varied shifts dependent on duties required.

n

DUTIES:

n

The ability to carry out cleaning duties with limited supervision, work independently and co-operatively participate as a team member, as required.

n

The ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment, materials, and chemical supplies.

n

The ability to apply Workplace Health and Safety standards.

n

Other tasks may include maintenance of gardens and general grounds keeping, as needed.

n

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:





n

Previous experience working as a cleaner or in gardening/ maintenance is preferred but not essential.

n

Valuable teamwork.

n

High level of confidentiality.

n

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

n

A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.

n

AFirst Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.

n

A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.

n

A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.

n

* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.

Your Salary Package is made up of the following: -

n

Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum - adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).

n

Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation).
