Coastal Hydraulics is a locally owned and operated hydraulic service provider based in Cairns. We specialise in hydraulic hose repairs, breakdown services, and hydraulic solutions across the earthmoving, marine, agriculture, and transport industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

n

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on position involving both workshop and on-site field service work. You'll be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, replacing, and installing hydraulic hoses and fittings while providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients.

n

No two days are the same, with work ranging across earthmoving machinery, marine equipment, agricultural machinery, and heavy transport vehicles.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manufacture and assemble hydraulic hose assemblies.
n
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic hose failures.
n
- Install and replace hydraulic hoses and fittings on-site and in the workshop.
n
- Attend customer breakdowns and provide prompt, professional service.
n
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and service vehicles.
n
- Complete job sheets and service reports accurately.
n




- Work safely and maintain high-quality workmanship at all times.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Experience in hydraulic hose repair, mechanical fitting, diesel fitting, or a similar mechanical trade is preferred.
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
n
- Current manual driver's licence.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
n
- Hydraulic experience is an advantage, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
n
