Construction Supervisor

Tocumwal, NSW | 24-Month Project | Full-Time Opportunity | Monday-Friday
n
Our Client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join a major construction project based in Tocumwal, NSW (approximately 75km north of Shepparton). This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused construction professional to play a key role in delivering a significant industrial project while overseeing site activities, contractor performance, and project outcomes.
n
The role is expected to commence in October 2026, with an initial onboarding period involving remote work from home and online learning for approximately four weeks before transitioning to site-based project delivery.

About the Role
n
n
- As the Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading daily construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and project delivery standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Working closely with the Project Manager, engineering teams, contractors, and key stakeholders, you will provide hands‐on supervision and coordination across all site activities while driving a strong safety culture.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Prepare and manage Contractor Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
n
- Coordinate and facilitate daily toolbox talks and site meetings.
n
- Review and approve contractor JSEAs and SWMS documentation.
n
- Exercise Stop Work Authority where activities present unacceptable risk.
n
- Lead and drive Safety, Health and Setting (SH&E;) performance on site.
n
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards,
and procedures.
n
- Coordinate communication between project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
n
- Manage site materials including receipt, storage, handling, preservation, and inventory control.
n
- Support project variation identification, assessment, and documentation.
n
- Coordinate testing and pre‐commissioning activities.
n
- Identify and resolve non‐conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
n
- Assist with construction work packs, handover documentation, and as‐built records.
n
- Monitor construction progress against project schedules and milestones.
n
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
n
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on safety, quality, schedule, risks, and project performance.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive construction supervision experience within industrial or infrastructure environments and a demonstrated commitment to safety leadership.

Mandatory Requirements
n
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
- Full Australian working rights.
n
- Construction White Card.
n
- Minimum 10 years' relevant construction supervision experience.
n
- Security Clearance (Explosives) SSAN.
n
- Permit to Work systems experience.
n
- Contractor management experience.
n
- SWMS review and approval.
n

- Hazard identification and risk assessments.
n
- Incident investigation processes.
n
- Toolbox talks and pre‐start meetings.
n
- Quality Assurance and ITP management.
n
- WHS contractor management systems.
n
- Environmental compliance requirements.
n
- Emergency response participation.
n

- Ability to provide referees from previous projects.
n
- Fitness for Work declaration.
n
- National Police Check and site security clearances (if required).
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
- Experience in industrial facilities, mining, explosives, chemical processing, or hazardous process plants.
n
- Experience managing multiple contractors simultaneously.
n
- Previous regional or remote project delivery experience.
n
n
