Job Description
ResetData is shaping a future where AI is not only powerful - but sovereign, ethical, and purpose-built for Australia. In a world dominated by offshore models and opaque systems, ResetData offers a secure, onshore alternative that gives organisations true control over their data, deployment, and digital destiny.
n
Through partnerships with Centuria, NVIDIA and Dell, and infrastructure designed for scale and precision, ResetData is helping shape a sovereign AI ecosystem that reflects Australian laws, values, and strategic priorities. More than a platform, ResetData is a partner in shaping Australia's next era of intelligence – one that is self-determined, secure, and aligned to the future we choose to build.
n
This is your chance to join as part of ResetData's foundational team as we shape the future of next generation AI cloud services for Australia.
n
Position: Systems Engineer - GPU & High-Performance Compute
n
Location: Sydney, Australia
n
The role:
n
As a Systems Engineer at ResetData, you will be hands-on at the hardware layer of Australia's most ambitious AI infrastructure build. This is a server and GPU hardware role at its core.
n
You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing operation of high-performance GPU servers and compute nodes across our data centre facilities. You will work with cutting-edge NVIDIA GPU architectures (including RTX6000, H200 B300, and GB300 nodes), DLC liquid cooling systems, and large-scale storage and compute fabrics – the kind of infrastructure that underpins national AI workloads.
n
This role suits someone who has worked in a hyperscaler, major data centre operator, or enterprise compute environment and is energised by working close to the metal.
n
What you'll do:
n
n
- Deploy, rack, configure and maintain GPU servers, compute nodes, and storage systems across ResetData's Sydney data centre facilities.
n
- Support the build-out of new environments, including physical installation, cabling, and commissioning of large-scale NVIDIA GPU clusters.
n
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management across bare metal and GPU infrastructure.
n
- Collaborate with Network and AI Ops Engineers to integrate compute nodes into our production GPU cloud environment.
n
- Support the transition to 24/7 operations by contributing to documentation, runbooks, and on-call processes.
n
- Monitor system health and performance across physical and virtualised infrastructure layers.
n
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices for provisioning and configuration management.
n
- Work with vendor support teams (NVIDIA, Dell) during hardware incidents and RMA processes.
n
- Maintain accurate asset records, network diagrams,
and change management documentation.
n
n
What you'll bring:
n
n
- Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware – comfortable in a data centre and familiar with high-density compute environments.
n
- Background from a hyperscaler, large-scale data centre builder or operator, or major enterprise strongly preferred.
n
- Experience with GPU hardware or high-performance compute infrastructure is a significant advantage (NVIDIA GPU familiarity is a plus.)
n
- Strong Linux systems administration skills and server configuration experience.
n
- Familiarity with server management tools, IPMI/iDRAC/iLO, and out-of-band management.
n
- Understanding of storage systems (NVMe, SAN, NAS) and compute networking at the hardware layer.
n
- Sound understanding of Network fundamentals.
n
- Experience with firmware management, hardware diagnostics, and vendor support engagement.
n
- Solid understanding of data centre physical infrastructure – power, cooling, and cabling practices.
n
- Robust documentation habits and a methodical approach to operations.
n
n
What else you need to know:
n
n
- Flexible work environment: You'll split your time between our Melbourne data centre in Docklands and our CBD offices with flexibility
n
- Growth and development: You will work on some of the most advanced AI infrastructure in Australia – real GPU clusters, real AI factories, real customers.
n
- Team first: We take pride in our collaborative and inclusive team culture.
