Pharmacist Manager — with a genuine, financed pathway to ownership

Most "manager" pharmacy roles are just a payslip with more responsibility. This one is a genuine path to owning up to 50% of the business financed, so you don't need to bring the capital yourself.

We're an established, QCPP-accredited community pharmacy in the heart of Newtown, backed by an experienced operator who runs a group of healthcare businesses turning over $75M+ across ~200 staff. The owner is deeply invested in this pharmacy's success but doesn't have the day-to-day time to run it. So we're looking for a high-calibre pharmacist to take full operational control, run it brilliantly, and grow it as if it were their own. Because before long, it will be.

The prospect

n

You'll start as Pharmacist Manager with full ownership of the pharmacy's operations, team and growth. After an initial 3–6 month period, if it's the right fit both ways, we'll offer you a staged equity arrangement of up to 50% of the pharmacy, and we'll help finance your buy-in. It's a rare chance to step into pharmacy ownership on the back of your performance rather than your bank balance, with hands-on mentorship from someone who has built and scaled multiple healthcare businesses.

The pharmacy

120 scripts per day, with a strong, loyal local base

n

50 Webster-pak patients and 35 opioid dependence treatment (methadone) patients

n

Supported by a dispense technician and front-of-shop team member

QCPP accredited

An excellent working relationship with Newtown's largest medical centre (12+ doctors) feeding steady, quality referrals

What we're looking for

n

Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

n

Ideally 3+ years' experience, with management or 2IC experience in a community pharmacy

n

Entrepreneurial drive, someone who wants ownership and comes with ideas to grow the business, not just maintain it

n

Genuine warmth with patients and a commitment to high-quality community care

n

A hard worker ready to take real responsibility and back themselves

n

Sound clinical judgement and solid knowledge of pharmacy legislation and compliance

n
