Position Overview: Primo Fine Foods is an Australian-owned foodservice supplier committed to delivering quality food products and reliable service to hospitality customers. As a Transport Company Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the company's transport operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, service and operational performance.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

n
- Plan, organise and supervise the transportation of goods to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers.
n
- Coordinate transport operations, including vehicle scheduling, loading and unloading activities, and the movement of goods.
n
- Manage transport budgets, allocate operational resources, and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
n
- Ensure goods are transported in accordance with company quality standards and operational requirements.
n
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with transport providers, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders.
n
- Monitor transport performance, shipment schedules and operating costs, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
n
- Negotiate transport service agreements and freight pricing to achieve cost-effective transport solutions.
n
- Coordinate transport schedules,



delivery routes and resource allocation to maximise fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.

- Monitor transport planning systems, shipment records and operational data to ensure accurate reporting and effective service delivery.
n
- Supervise, mentor and support drivers and transport personnel, fostering a productive, customer-focused and safety-conscious work workplace.
n
- Prepare operational reports, maintain business records and analyse transport performance, recommending strategies to improve operational efficiency and service outcomes.
n
- Develop, implement and review transport policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
n
- Coordinate fleet maintenance, servicing and repairs to ensure vehicles remain safe, reliable and operational.
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport legislation, workplace health and safety requirements, and company policies.
n
- Promote safe work practices by conducting safety inspections, supporting training initiatives and maintaining a strong safety culture across transport operations.
n

Qualifications and Skills:

n
- Relevant qualification.
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Transport Company Manager or in a closely related role.
n
- Solid leadership, communication and organisational skills.
n
- Knowledge of transport operations, fleet management and logistics coordination.
n
- Ability to interpret and comply with relevant transport legislation and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
n

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $79,000 to $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38‐hour work week.
