Emerald Carrying Company is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Central Queensland Driver Trainer to support, mentor and develop drivers across our operations.

This permanent, full-time role is ideal for an experienced senior driver or transport professional passionate about improving driver capability and strengthening workplace safety and compliance.

The Role

n

Working closely with depot and operations leaders, you will:

n

n
- Regularly travel between our Gracemere and Mackay depots, with occasional travel to other ECC locations as required.
n
- Assist with driver recruitment, onboarding and initial driving assessments.
n
- Coach, mentor and assess drivers throughout their training.
n
- Conduct driver observations and refresher training.
n
- Support compliance with NHVAS, HVNL, Chain of Responsibility and customer requirements.
n
- Deliver practical training in a professional and timely manner.

About You

n

You bring solid driving experience, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting and developing other drivers.

n

n
- Current MC driver?s licence with Road Ranger experience and an excellent driving record
n
- Flexibility with working hours and availability is required to meet operational needs
n




- Demonstrated experience in fuel haulage across a range of vehicle combinations, including singles, B-doubles and road trains
n
- Dangerous Goods (DG) licence or willingness to obtain
n
- Solid commitment to safety and compliance
n
- Willingness to complete a Criminal History Check, Traffic History Check and pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
n
