Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Theatre team as a Scrub/Scout on a casual basis.

n

Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hourplus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing

n

As a perioperative Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-focused care within the operating theatre. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to positive surgical outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Providing expert scrub and scout nursing care across a variety of surgical procedures
n
- Delivering holistic, patient-centred care with consideration for physical, emotional, and individual patient needs
n
- Maintaining compliance with infection control standards, clinical policies, and safety protocols
n




- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative colleagues to support seamless theatre workflows
n
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
n
- Supporting a positive team environment that reflects Mater's Mission, Values, and commitment to excellence
n

About you

n

You are a confident and capable perioperative nurse with a strong foundation in scrub and scout practice, who enjoys working in a fast-paced theatre setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
n
- A minimum of four years' post-graduate experience working as a scrub/scout Registered Nurse
n
- Demonstrated ability to practice independently within the perioperative environment
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
n
- A commitment to patient safety, professional standards, and ongoing learning and development
n
