Home Kind Care is a leading NDIS agency specialising in nursing and support worker care for complex participants.

About the role:

n

An prospect for a CCRN to join a team of nurses for a boy aged 2 with Dravet Syndrome. He is prone to severe seizures that can lead to intubation or rescuciation, but otherwise a health, active little boy.

n

Nurses do not have to have peadiatric experience however do require experience with seizure response and managing children, which may include personal experience.

n

The role requires an element of "nanny" including playing and entertaining to provide parents with much needed sleep or respite.

n

To join the team you will:

n

Live within 30minutes of Mornington

n

Have extensive experience with seizure emergency management

n

Have extensive experience with critical thinking and acting in emergency setting including resuscitation

n





Instrinsic common sense and initiate

n

Enjoy playing with super energetic 2 year olds

n

Shifts available are

n

Nights 10pm to 6apm

n

Fridays 7.30am to 4:30pm

n

We are looking for an immediate start for the right candidate.

n

You must have;

n

APHRA registation DIV 1

n

Post grad qualifications in critical care

n

Valid Australian Driver's License

n

Valid CPR Certificate

n

Proof of rights to work in Australia

n

NDIS Worker Screener Check

n

The successful candidate will have:

n

experience in ICU settingis highly regarded, or experience in high stressful response team / and / or seizure management

n

Reliable

n

Exceptional critical thinking

n

Able to commit to the same shifts weekly - ideally 2 shifts per week

n

This position pays $75ph weekdays with penalities applicable for nights and weekends as per nurse award.
