About the Role:
n
As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on the job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
n
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
n
We are currently hiringApprentice in AC & Refrigeration to join us and support Data Centre Critical Environment.
n
What You'll Do:
n
Receive training from current operations team in proper job safety and repair procedures.
n
Observe operations team while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
n
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
n
Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most effective manner.
n
Inspect recent or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
n
Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
n
Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.
n
What You'll Need:
n
High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in acollege program or technical school.
n
In progress Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrical/Air-conditioning & Refrigeration
n
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
n
Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
n
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
n
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
n
Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
n
