Role & Responsibilities

n

Drive Strategic Implementation: Execute the Information, Digital & Technology (IDT) strategy across cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure, data, and cyber security in alignment with enterprise architectural principles.

n

Executive Governance & Communication: Author high‐quality board papers, ministerial briefings, and risk frameworks, translating complex technical concepts into clear insights for executive and non‐technical stakeholders.

n

Lead Cyber & Risk Posture: Act as the Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA), establishing and maintaining pragmatic security policies, compliance frameworks, and incident reporting mechanisms.

n

Financial & Commercial Oversight: Manage ICT procurement activities, vendor contract performance, value‐for‐money outcomes, and overall budget management for the technology function.

Empower Capability & Team Delivery: Mentor, coach, and scale a small, high‐performing technical team, implementing prioritization frameworks and removing organizational blockers to optimize delivery.

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

n

Technical Toolkit: Deep knowledge across modern ICT architecture (cloud, infrastructure, data, integration), digital service design principles, and contemporary cyber security frameworks.

n

Experience: 7+ years of demonstrated experience in similar ICT leadership or technology management roles, ideally within complex enterprise or government environments.

n

Core Capabilities: Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in financial management, vendor negotiation, and translating technology strategy into measurable business outcomes.

n

Leadership & Influence: Advanced leadership skills with the ability to influence at the executive level and foster a high‐performing team culture through change and competing priorities.

n

Eligibility & Clearance Requirements

n

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must have the capacity to hold an Australian Government security clearance (Australian Citizenship required). A pre‐employment medical and valid Australian Driver's Licence are also required.
