McKinna Group is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to lead our finance function and play a key role in the next stage of the business's growth and development.
n
This is more than a traditional finance role. We are seeking a high-calibre finance professional who can take ownership of the finance function today while developing into a broader finance leadership position with a genuine pathway to Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and senior management team to strengthen financial reporting, improve business intelligence, support strategic decision-making and help build the systems, processes and governance required for the next phase of growth.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the Directors, the Finance Manager will lead all aspects of the finance function while partnering closely with management to improve financial visibility, accountability and business performance.
n
Using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and business intelligence tools, you will transform financial and operational data into meaningful insights that drive profitability, improve decision-making and support long-term business growth.
n
This is a highly visible position that combines hands-on financial management with strategic involvement across multiple areas of the business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and manage all aspects of the finance function.
n
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes.
n
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, compliance and reporting frameworks.
n
- Deliver accurate and timely financial, management and operational reporting.
n
- Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
n
- Lead monthly management reporting and performance analysis.
n
- Establish KPI dashboards and business performance reporting across all departments.
n
- Analyse profitability by customer, project, department and product line.
n
- Develop commercial models and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
n
- Partner with operational managers to improve financial accountability and performance.
n
- Drive optimisation and utilisation of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and associated reporting systems.
n
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting.
n
- Support strategic planning, risk management and future business growth initiatives.
n
- Assist in developing the financial systems, governance structures and reporting capability required to support a larger and more sophisticated organisation.

About You
n
You are a commercially focused finance professional who combines strong financial discipline with strategic thinking and the ability to influence outcomes across the organisation.
n
You are equally comfortable managing day-to-day finance operations while contributing at a strategic level and helping shape business performance.
n
You enjoy building relationships, creating accountability through reporting and partnering with business leaders to improve results.
n
n
- CA or CPA qualified.
n
- Significant experience in financial management, commercial finance and management reporting.
n
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance requirements.
n
- Demonstrated success improving financial systems,
processes and reporting frameworks.
n
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities.
n
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Ability to influence managers and leaders through commercial and financial insight.
n
- Experience driving performance improvements through financial analysis and reporting.
n
- Leadership capability with the potential to build, mentor and develop a future finance team.
n

Preferred
n
n
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, engineering or project-based businesses.
n
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar platforms.
n
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards, reporting automation and business intelligence solutions.
n
- Exposure to organisational growth, operational improvement and strategic planning processes.
n
- Experience supporting directors and senior leadership teams with commercial decision-making.
n
