Chef – Full Time

Due to the continued growth of our business, Stockmans Motel & Restaurant is seeking 2 (two) experienced and passionate Full-Time Chefs to join our kitchen team.

n

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and well-established hospitality venue with a reputation for quality food and excellent customer service.

n

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

n

Visa sponsorship may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
n
- Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a busy kitchen environment
n
- Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Working closely with management and kitchen staff regarding food preparation and service requirements
n
- Demonstrating cooking techniques and assisting with staff training and development
n
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
n
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
n




- Ensuring compliance with all food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required
n

Skills and Experience

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
n
- Relevant trade qualifications preferred
n
- Experience training, developing and mentoring kitchen teams
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills
n
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
n
- Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
n
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
n
