The Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer / Systems Engineer to support cloud platform delivery and infrastructure operations within a secure government environment.

n

This is a hands-on role responsible for deploying, managing, automating, and optimising cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will contribute to cloud platform operations, infrastructure-as-code initiatives, environment management, and ongoing improvements to platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Configure, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services.
n
- Develop automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
n
- Support DevSecOps practices across platform delivery activities.
n
- Maintain development, test, and production environments.
n
- Monitor platform performance, health, and availability.
n
- Improve platform resilience, reliability, and operational efficiency.
n
- Support cloud platform upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle activities.
n
- Collaborate with engineering, security,



and delivery teams to implement solutions.
n
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
n
- Support continuous improvement and cloud modernisation initiatives.
n

What You'll Need

n
- Experience deploying and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
n
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies.
n
- Experience developing deployment pipelines and DevSecOps capabilities.
n
- Experience managing development, test, and production environments.
n
- Robust understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and platform reliability.
n
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud and infrastructure environments.
n
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
n
- Experience in government, defence, or highly regulated environments would be highly regarded.
n
- Knowledge aligned to SFIA capabilities including CPMG4, AVMT5, ITOP4, DESN5, PROG3, PBMG4, and HSIN5 would be highly regarded.
