The Opportunity

Ready to build your chef career in a fast paced, fun environment? We're looking for passionate Commis Chefs to join the kitchen team at Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

You'll work across à la carte dining, buffets, street food, catering and baked goods. If you love learning new skills and keeping up with food trends, this is a great place to grow.

Key Responsibilities

n

From sizzling pans to perfectly plated dishes, every shift is a new adventure! Your key ingredients for success include:

n

n
- Conducting food preparation and cooking duties, ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards.
n
- Applying and monitoring food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standards.
n
- Preparing suitable variations where required to accommodate guest special requests, including dietary requirements.
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area and report any issues that may affect kitchen operations immediately to the Chef De Partie.
n
- Working effectively within a team setting to deliver excellent internal service in a positive working environment.

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for a Commis Chef who's passionate about food, loves a busy kitchen, and is ready to bring their passion to the fun! You'll bring:

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is essential.
n
- Industry experience in high volume kitchen operations an advantage
n
- Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety program
n




- Knowledge of customer dietary requirements such as food allergies and intolerances etc.
n
- A passion for your craft and high standards of food production.
n
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, across Village Roadshow Theme Parks properties as required by event schedules.
