Lead a High-Performing Warehouse Team in a Growing Manufacturing BusinessWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Team Lead to join a well-established food and pharmaceutical manufacturing brand with new operations based in Melbourne's south-east.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of warehouse activities while leading a team of three forklift operators. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated warehouse qualified who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational involvement.

Working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, protected warehouse operations, production support, and on-time dispatch performance.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of three forklift drivers
n
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receivables, storage, inventory movements and dispatch
n
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety and quality standards
n
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control processes
n
- Coordinate raw material supply to production and finished goods movements
n
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with stocktakes
n
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company safety policies and procedures
n
- Support workforce planning, training and performance management
n
- Liaise closely with Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams
n

About You
n
n
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or Senior Storeperson role - playing a lead role within a warehousing environment of a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing company is ideal with room to progress into a Warehouse Manager role in the future
n
- Experience within food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, FMCG or other regulated industries highly regarded
n
- Current forklift licence (LF) with strong operating experience as well as reach truck and counter balance experience
n
- Proven ability to lead and motivate small teams understanding the big picture whilst still being hands on
n
- Strong inventory management and warehouse systems experience
n
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment
n
- Intermediate computer skills across ERP/WMS systems such as SAP, NetSuite etc
n
