The Company

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded mining organisation with a diversified asset portfolio ensuring scalability and expansion for the future. With a strong operating history and a explicit future focus, they are seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to support their Brisbane-based finance team during a period of increased reporting and operational demand.

Based in their Brisbane CBD HQ, this is an initial 6 month fixed term contract offering strong exposure across a complex mining business, with flexibility on offer, and a collaborative and long tenured finance team to support you.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Senior Accountant and sitting within the corporate finance function, this role is responsible for delivering end-to-end monthly and periodic accounting and reporting across multiple entities within the group.

n

Key accountabilities include:

n

n
- Deliver end-to-end month-end accounting and reporting, including mine performance, G&A; reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and group consolidations
n
- Manage fixed assets,



capital project reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards, including lease accounting
n
- Support quarterly, statutory and board reporting, including audit and financial statement preparation
n
- Assist with tax, FBT and transfer pricing processes in partnership with senior finance stakeholders
n
- Partner with management and the broader finance team to provide accurate, timely and commercially focused financial insights
n

About You

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
n
- CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards.
n
- 4-6+ years' experience in management or financial accounting, ideally within mining, resources or heavy industry.
n
- Strong Excel capability and experience working with large ERP systems.
n
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
n
- Confident communicator able to build effective working relationships across the organisation.
n
