About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced Migration Lawyer/Registered Migration Agent to join our team on a full time basis at our office in Tarneit, VIC 3029. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, where you will take responsibility for providing expert legal and migration advice to a diverse client base. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive the highest quality representation and support throughout their migration journey. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives whilst contributing to the success and reputation of Royal International Migration Consultants.

Key responsibilities

n

Providing comprehensive legal advice on Australian migration matters, including visa applications, sponsorships and compliance issues

n

Preparing and lodging visa applications and supporting documentation on behalf of clients

n

Representing clients before the Department of Home Affairs and in migration-related disputes

n





Conducting detailed case assessments and developing strategic migration plans tailored to individual client circumstances

n

Drafting legal documents, correspondence and submissions in accordance with migration legislation and regulations

n

Maintaining thorough client files and ensuring compliance with professional obligations and record-keeping requirements

n

Liaising with government agencies, employers and other stakeholders on behalf of clients

n

Staying current with changes to migration law and keeping clients informed of relevant legislative updates

n

Providing accurate advice on visa options, eligibility requirements and potential pathways for clients

n

Managing caseloads effectively whilst maintaining high service standards and client satisfaction

n

What we're looking for

n

Current registration with the (OMARA) and must have at least 2 years of experience in similar position.

n

A tertiary qualification in law or migration studies, with demonstrated expertise in Australian migration law

n

Proven experience as a Migration Lawyer or Registered Migration Agent with a strong track record of successful case outcomes

n

Thorough knowledge of the Migration Act 1958, associated regulations and policy guidelines

n





Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients

n

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously whilst meeting strict deadlines

n

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all legal documentation and submissions

n

Professional integrity and adherence to the Code of Conduct for Migration Agents

n

Client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong qualified relationships

n

Proficiency in using legal practice management software and case management systems

n

Applicants must have good English communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates who can also speak Punjabi, Gujarati, or Haryanvi.
