About the role
n
We are looking for Mental Health Clinician, responsibilities include
n
n
- Engaging with participants providing personalised counselling, therapy and brief therapeutic interventions
n
- Conducting intake assessments and developing tailored counselling plans in collaboration with participants and their families.
n
- Advocating for participants and coordinating with other clinicians,
peer lived experience workers and stakeholders to enhance interventions and well-being.
n
- Monitoring and managing participants' mental health and well-being, collaborating with health professionals as needed.
n
- Participating in clinical meetings, case meetings with peer lived experience workers, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance your expertise.
n
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team with peer lived experience workers and other mental health clinicians.
n
n
About you
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration in relevant discipline (psychologist, registered nurse with a background in mental health therapy ) or AASW (Social Worker) (mental health accreditation highly regarded)
n
- Demonstrated experience in comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions.
n
- Demonstrated skills and experience in trauma informed counselling and therapy including the use of multiple clinical counselling modalities
n
- Ability to demonstrate and provide mental health triage and participant de-escalation
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including computer literacy
n
- Ability to build rapport and influence diverse stakeholders.
n
- Passion for making a difference and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, solution-focused environment.
n
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet program delivery KPIs.
n
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a current police check.
n
