About the Role

Pro AV Solutions Queensland is seeking an experienced Lead Audio Visual Installation Technicianto join our high-performing Deployment Team. This role offers the opportunity to combine your technical expertise with solid leadership capabilities, taking ownership of the successful delivery of complex audiovisual installations across a diverse range of commercial projects.

As a Team Leader, you will lead from the front—remaining actively involved in the installation and commissioning process while providing direction, mentoring, and support to installation technicians on site. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering a positive and productive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead, coordinate, and mentor installation technicians across multiple project sites.
n
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
n
- Allocate tasks effectively and monitor site productivity to ensure project milestones are achieved.
n

AV Installation & Technical Delivery

n

n
- Perform hands-on installation of integrated audiovisual systems across commercial environments.
n
- Interpret technical documentation, installation drawings, and system schematics.
n




- Ensure installations comply with industry standards, project specifications, and company quality requirements.
n

n

Project Coordination & Client Engagement

n

n
- Work closely with Project Managers, clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
n

About You

n

You are an experienced AV professional with proven leadership capability and a passion for delivering quality project outcomes. You are equally comfortable leading a team as you are working hands-on with tools and equipment on site.

n

n




- Demonstrated experience leading audiovisual installation projects in commercial environments with a customer-focused approach.
n
- Strong understanding of structured cabling, installation best practices, and AV system integration.
n
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- Experience with AV control platforms such as AMX, Crestron, Extron or Cisco.
n
- Previous experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.
n
- Exposure to commissioning and system testing processes.
n

Licences & Certifications

n

The successful candidate will ideally hold:

n

n
- ACMA Open Cabling Licence (with Structured Cabling Endorsement)
n
- Queensland Construction White Card
n
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence/Yellow Card
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (Manual Preferred)
n
