UGL Transport are looking for a Pre-Contracts Commercial Manager - this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

n

Key Responsibilities

n

As Commercial Manager (Pre Contracts), you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with bid and legal teams to support conversion of tendering opportunities by:

n

- Lead the development of commercial deliverables for submission of expression of interests and tender ensuring they are competitive, accurate, and profitable;
n




- ensure tender submissions align with UGLT policies, including conducting risk assessments of contract terms and conditions;
n
- Input into commercial advice and recommendations to bid and senior management teams;
n
- Develop procurement strategies for subcontract packages and negotiating terms;
n
- In conjunction with legal teams support preparation of client departures: identifying and assessing risks during the tender process;
n
- Negotiating contract terms, conditions, and departures with clients, JV partners, and key subcontractor packages.

Qualifications and Skills

n

n
- 5+ years of proven, extensive experience in commercial management, specifically within pre-contracts/bidding.
n
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, or Business.
n
- Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of contracts, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
n
