Our client, Mill St Kitchen, is looking for a qualified and experienced Cook to support its kitchen operations and prepare quality meals for dine-in and takeaway customers. Position descriptions are described below:

Responsibility

- Prepare, season and cook food in a café and dining environment.
n

n

Duties

n

n
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with recipes and the café's menu;
n
- Check the quality and freshness of food ingredients before preparation;
n
- Operate ovens, grills and other cooking equipment and regulate appropriate cooking temperatures;
n
- Portion and present meals with appropriate sauces, gravies and garnishes;
n




- Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements where required;
n
- Assist with estimating food and ingredient requirements for kitchen operations;
n
- Store and preserve food products using appropriate temperature-controlled facilities;
n
- Maintain a clean, secure and sanitary kitchen environment; and
n
- Follow food safety, OH&S; and other applicable hygiene requirements.

Qualification

n

n
- AQF Certificate IV or higher;
n
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in related field.
n

n

Salary

n

n
- $75000- 85000 + Superannuation
n

n
