About The Role

Based in Altona North, the Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager. The role will manage projects and associated people delivering corrosion protection and SCADA services on a wide range of assets including water and gas pipelines and associated infrastructure. The role demands a dynamic, achievement focused leader who enjoys working in a team environment.

The Project Manager's role includes planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating projects within Powerplant. The role will be committed to working in a client-focused and high service-orientated business that provides quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage safety by maintaining a culture of health and safety in all business activities
n
- Undertake risk assessment to identify, mitigate, control, review risks and environmental impacts on the works undertaken within assigned projects and programs
n
- Deliver project planning, scheduling,



resource allocation, project accounting, and control
n
- Demonstrate leadership by having some responsibility for the professional development of project engineers, and field staff for supporting their project delivery obligations
n
- Proactive engagement with customers and internal and external stakeholders
n
- Tertiary education in project management or engineering.
n
- 1-2 years' experience in managing projects or program of works.
n
- Robust commercial acumen
n
- Exposure to water, gas, marine structures or similar industries preferred.
n
- Be committed to delivering results safely, effectively, and economically.
n
- Demonstrated success in delivering outstanding customer service and developing positive customer relationships.
n
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
n
- Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
n

Other Role-Specific Requirements

- Ability to obtain required security and police checks
n
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
n
- The role is based will be based in our Altona office
n
- Strong computer and software skills including Microsoft Office.
n
- Able and willing to travel to project sites as required
