We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our vibrant Eden Eats Canteen team, supporting our Canteen Manager in delivering fresh, nutritious food to our school community.

n

This is an exciting prospect to work in a popular, well-resourced canteen where you'll play a key role in preparing high-quality meals, supervising kitchen staff, and contributing to a positive, welcoming environment for students, staff and families.

About the Role:

n

5 days per week during the school term with the availability to work some school holidays.

n

Reporting to the Canteen Manager, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh, high-quality meals
n
- Supporting the coordination and supervision of kitchen staff and volunteers
n
- Assisting with catering, food preparation, and counter service during busy periods
n
- Maintaining efficient kitchen operations and high presentation standards
n
- Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices are consistently met
n

About you:

n





You are an organised and capable cook who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a community-focused team. You will bring:

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
n
- Current Food Safety Certificate
n
- Strong understanding of WHS and safe food handling practices
n
- Experience in a school canteen or high-volume kitchen environment (highly regarded)
n
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver quality at scale
n
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
n
- Eligibility to hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
