Business Analyst – Insurance Platform Delivery

n

Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid, 2–3 days in office)

n

Role Overview

n

We are hiring a mid-level Business Analyst with strong insurance domain experience and a background in consulting to support the delivery of platform-based solutions. You will play a key role in gathering requirements, defining solutions, and collaborating with technical teams across insurance projects.

n

You'll be exposed to complex delivery work and contribute to the success of multiple customer implementations in a hands-on role with real ownership.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Work closely with clients to understand and document business needs, pain points, and process improvements
n
- Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications aligned with the platform architecture
n
- Contribute to solution design, validation, and testing activities
n
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions with both technical and business audiences
n
- Support project delivery through impact analysis, gap assessments, and system documentation
n
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and product teams to deliver customer outcomes
n
- Participate in UAT planning and support defect resolution
n

n





Key Requirements

n

n
- 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in a technology delivery workplace
n
- Strong understanding of general or commercial insurance (underwriting, claims, policy admin, compliance)
n
- Demonstrated consulting experience (vendor, consultancy, or professional services)
n
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and running workshops
n
- Strong documentation ability: BRDs, user stories, data/process models
n
- Comfortable working with Agile delivery methods and cross-functional teams
n
- Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and process mapping tools
n
- Ability to manage priorities and work across concurrent projects
n
- Experience with insurance software platforms or SaaS configuration tools
n
- Exposure to scripting, rules engines, or business logic configuration
n
- Familiarity with SQL, XML, or integration design
n
