Dental Assistant (Orthodontics) - Part Time

We are looking for a team member to join us in our thriving orthodontic practice located in the inner-west suburb of Bardon, Brisbane. We are a state-of-the-art specialist practice for adults and children, providing high quality orthodontic services in a fun, friendly environment.

About the Role

n

This is an interesting role for a dynamic person. You will find great satisfaction in being part of a patients orthodontic journey, getting to know the patients as people while we create their great smiles.

n

Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

n

We are looking for a person who:

n

takes pride in making patients feel welcome in our practice, takes initiative to ensure each of the patient's appointments runs smoothly and is a positive experience, and excels at forming a great relationship with them over the course of their treatment;

n

ideally has previous chairside assisting experience: competent in undertaking best practice infection control procedures. Although it is not essential,



it would be an advantage to have experience in taking clinical photos, intra-oral scans and undertaking basic laboratory tasks. A certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience would be highly regarded. Orthodontic experience is not essential.

A person who is keen learner. Someone willing to learn to to assist in digital smile setups and 3D printing of dental models.

has previous front desk experience: confident with scheduling appointments, answering patient enquiries, and processing payments;

n

has a mature approach to their work, and genuinely enjoys working as part of a team to ensure the practice runs smoothly and exceptional patient care is achieved;

n

takes initiative, has an energetic approach to their work, and is keen to acquire new skills;

n

has excellent communication skills/phone manner, and enjoys confidently engaging with patients;

n

is well presented and reliable.

The position is on a part time / casual basis, 2-3 days per week. MUST be available Tuesday's (7:30am-6:00pm) Thursday's (7:30am-5:30pm) and some Friday's (7:30-5:30pm).
