About The Role

A truly exciting permanent opportunity reporting to Systems and Technology Manager we're looking for a proactive and engaging Software Developer to join our collaborative IT team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into the renewable energy sector while driving business process improvements through a blend of technical expertise, problem solving, and project management.

As a Software Developer with Energy Bay you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Developing fully functional web interfaces that are visually appealing and provide an intuitive user experience (UX).
n
- Design and develop responsive, visually engaging web interfaces with intuitive UX.
n
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility across devices, browsers, and screen sizes.
n
- Write clean, maintainable code using modern front-end frameworks like React.
n
- Optimise performance across front-end and back‐end systems.
n
- Build and maintain scalable ASP.NET APIs and microservices.
n
- Enhance database performance through efficient SQL Server query and schema design.
n
- Leverage Azure services including Functions, App Services, and API Management.
n




- Apply user‐centric design principles to deliver seamless digital experiences.
n

n

You will be successful in the role if you possess:

n

n
- Minimum 6 months of experience in software development or a related role.
n
- Strong skills and understanding of programming languages, database management, and web applications
n
- Proficient in C#/.NET, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions‐focused with excellent attention to detail.
n
- Passionate about clean energy and contributing to a purpose‐driven team.
n
- Bachelor's degree in
n
- Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
n
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases
n
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, unit testing frameworks and best practices
