As we grow, we're looking for passionate people who share our values to join us.We are currently seeking Production Operators to join our operations team at Vales Point Power Station.

n

This role involves the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, generators and associated plant systems within a coal-fired generation workplace.

n

What You'll Do:

n

n
- Operating and monitoring plant and equipment to maintain safe, efficient production.
n
- Conducting routine operational checks and performing routine and defect maintenance activities on plant and equipment.
n
- Monitoring plant performance, identifying faults or potential issues and reporting them through maintenance management systems to facilitate timely corrective action.
n
- Responding to plant alarms and abnormal operating conditions, escalating issues to the appropriate operational personnel and supporting timely resolution.
n
- Isolate, test and restore plant equipment to ensure safe access for maintenance and asset management teams.
n
- Participating in incident investigations, including contributing to root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions.
n
- Operating standby plant and protection equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs.
n
- Maintaining accurate operational and maintenance records, logs and reports.
n
- Identifying, reporting and helping to minimise environmental hazards and incidents.
n




- Applying safe work practices, procedures and risk assessments, including the development and use of Task Based Risk Assessments (TBRAs).
n
- Participating in training and development activities to maintain and enhance operational skills and competencies.
n

What You'll Bring:

n

You are a safety focused and proactive with a strong technical background and a commitment to operational excellence.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Certificate III or IV in ESI Generation - Operations (or equivalent qualification).
n
- High Risk Licences in Boiler Advanced (BA) and Turbine Operations (TO) or equivalent.
n
- Previous experience in operations in a coal-fired or thermal power generation environment.
n
- A trade qualification, Certificate level qualification, or equivalent industry experience. An Associate Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
n
- Demonstrated experience in a technical, trade, operations or engineering role, preferably within a power generation, heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining or process plant workplace.
n
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, risk management processes and environmental compliance obligations.
n
- The ability to interpret and apply operational procedures, policies and standards to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
n




- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and contribute to practical solutions.
n
- A commitment to continuous learning, personal development and maintaining technical competency.
