At Orchard Early Learning, our kitchen is the heart of the Centre. We're looking for a passionate Cook/Chef who loves creating fresh, nutritious meals while making a real difference in the lives of children every day.

You'll work alongside a supportive team to prepare delicious, balanced meals, cater for individual dietary needs and help create positive mealtime experiences where children can Play, Learn and Thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Preparing fresh, nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for children aged 0-5
n
- Planning seasonal, balanced menus that meet nutrition guidelines and dietary requirements
n
- Managing food orders and working within the kitchen budget
n
- Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance
n
- Creating welcoming mealtime experiences that encourage healthy eating habits
n
- Working closely with educators and families to support children's individual dietary needs
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen
n




- Supporting sustainability initiatives and reducing food waste wherever possible
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Experience as a Cook/Chef (Early Childhood experience highly regarded)
n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent
n
- Food Safety / Safe Food Handling Certificate
n
- Knowledge of menu planning and children's nutrition
n
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card/WWCC)
n
- Strong understanding of food safety, allergies and special dietary requirements
n
- A warm, positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing
n
