Lead Solution Architect – Payments Architecture

Location: Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney

Contract: 6-12 Months rolling

The Opportunity

As a Lead Solution Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and defining the payments architecture across a portfolio of high-profile projects. You will work on transactions, system integrations, and end-to-end architectural designs, ensuring resilience, scalability, and regulatory compliance in a mission-critical environment.

Key Criteria

- Lead the architectural strategy for payments-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

- Design and oversee complex system integrations, ensuring seamless transactions across various platforms.

- Provide technical leadership and governance, ensuring best practices in architecture and software development.

- Engage with senior stakeholders,



translating business requirements into technical solutions.

- Assess risks and architectural challenges in a high-availability, high-security environment.

- Stay hands-on with technology, guiding engineering teams in implementing scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

n

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Solution Architect in a banking or financial services environment.
n
- Strong technical background in payments architecture, transactions, and system integrations.
n
- Deep understanding of real-time payments, batch processing, APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
n
- Experience working in a high-risk, high-complexity environment, ensuring security, compliance, and resilience.
n
- Solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
