An excellent opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join an Australian construction business on an upward growth trajectory. Your comprehensive background in financial reporting and compliance will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate results and meaningful insights to the business. As a result of strong year-on-year growth, the finance team is now seeking a highly motivated finance individual to help bolster its capabilities. This is a 5-days office position with parking available on-site.

Role Description

n

Reporting to the CFO, this hands-on position will focus on financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, job costing, project performance analysis, tax and audit compliance, and management reporting.

n

You will work collaboratively with the CFO and finance team to support the finance function, internal controls, strengthen finance systems, and effective operations of the organisation.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
n
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
n
- Support management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and analysis activities.
n
- Prepare BAS and FBT returns and assist with other tax compliance.
n




- Perform financial reconciliations
n
- Manage General Ledger, project-based accounting, job costings, WIP & revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions.
n
- Collaborate with the team on improvements to financial systems, implementation, and processes.
n
- Provide support with financial audits and regulatory compliance.
n
- Business partner with Project Managers, Divisional Managers and Estimators.
n

Qualifications And Skills

n

n
- Relevant Bachelor's degree and CA or CPA qualification.
n
- Strong financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance experience.
n
- Experience with Jobpac & MYOB is desirable.
n
- Advanced Excel & Power BI experience necessary.
n
- Excellent communicator and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
