We have a Medical Receptionist role available at East Canberra General Practice, located next to Costco in Canberra Airport Precinct. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial administrative and customer service role, ensuring the smooth running of the medical practice. Full Time role.

What you'll be doing

n

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression

n

Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including follow-up calls and reminders

n

Handling patient enquiries and providing exceptional customer service

n

Maintaining accurate medical records and filing patient documentation

n

Assisting with general administrative tasks such as data entry and inventory management

n

Demonstrating a professional and empathetic approach when interacting with patients

n

What we're looking for

n

Previous experience in a medical/healthcare receptionist or administrative role

n





Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a warm and friendly manner

n

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

n

Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office applications

n

Experience with Best Practice medical practice management software is desired but not necessary.

n

A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection

n

A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a passion for providing high-quality patient care
