In this vital role, you will work closely with our Warehouse Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Melbourne warehouse. You will help ensure our seed products are treated, tested, packed, stored, and dispatched with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Packing & Dispatch: Coordinate domestic order processing from end to end - including packing seed, booking freight, and submitting customs documentation. Coordinate closely with Sales and Accounts teams to ensure timely dispatch and invoicing.

- Seed Quality Assurance: Run regular quality-focused testing (germination, purity, and seed counts) utilizing our in-house germination chamber, and coordinate with external laboratories when needed. Maintain accurate and accessible records of all test results.

- Inventory Control: Keep the inventory system up to date, perform regular physical stocktakes, ensure all seed lots are accurately labelled, and proactively flag low stock levels on packaging and consumables.

- Warehouse & Grounds Maintenance: Maintain a clean, secure, and organized warehouse environment, including a daily end-of-day cleaning routine.



Assist with OH&S; compliance (forklift and racking inspections), machinery calibration/servicing schedules, and general upkeep of external grounds and facilities.

What We Are Looking For

n

- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, order processing, or quality control roles (experience handling agricultural products or seeds is a strong plus!).
n
- Skills: Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a sharp eye for detail. Strong communication skills to liaise across internal sales, accounts, and management teams.
n
- Physically Capable: This role involves standing, bending, lifting, and regular physical activity. You must be comfortable safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 20kg.
n
- Technical Savvy: Comfortable using inventory management systems and maintaining accurate digital records.
n
- Licensing: A current Forklift Licence is highly desirable. Experience operating warehouse equipment and conducting routine inspections is also advantageous.
n
- Attributes: A proactive and reliable team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
