Senior Marine Trades Technician | Marine Industry
n
We are seeking an experienced Marine Trades Technician, Boat Builder, or Shipwright to deliver expert vessel repairs and maintenance. The position would suit a boat builder, shipwright or marine all-rounder with practical experience across vessel repairs, refits and maintenance. Work on a varied range of vessels, from trailer boats through to vessels of approximately 100 feet

- Requires solid practical skills in vessel repair, refits, composite fabrication, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical work.
n
- $40 to $50 per hour
n
- Location: Coomera (Northern QLD)
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Carry out fibreglass and composite repairs including lamination and structural work.
n
- Engage in diverse boat building and refit tasks for vessels ranging from small trailer boats up to large craft around 30 metres.
n
- Perform plumbing, rigging, and skin fitting installations and maintenance duties.
n
- Assist with mechanical tasks related to vessel upkeep and system improvements.
n
- Work autonomously, maintaining high-quality standards and flexibility to support evolving marine service requirements.
n

Candidate Requirements

- Proficient in fibreglass lamination, composite repair, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering quality craftsmanship.
n
- Experience with a variety of vessel types and sizes, including hands‐on boat building and refit expertise.
n
- Permanent residency or relevant work authorization required.
n
