Job Description
UltraPlayers is looking for an experienced Publishing Producer to independently manage a focused portfolio of indie game projects through the complete publishing lifecycle.
n
You will be the main project owner, coordinating developers, internal teams and external partners from onboarding through launch and post-launch.
n
This is not a task-tracking role. You will be expected to understand the game, identify risks early, drive decisions and make sure each publishing workstream moves towards a successful release.
n
ABOUT ULTRAPLAYERS
n
UltraPlayers is a Melbourne-based indie game publisher working with distinctive PC and console games across global markets. We keep our portfolio focused so each project receives meaningful strategic and operational attention.
n
WHAT YOU'LL DO
n
n
- Own multiple publishing projects from onboarding to release.
n
- Build and maintain schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and risk registers.
n
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for developers.
n
- Coordinate marketing, community, localisation, QA, creative assets and Steam operations.
n
- Manage playtests, demos, festivals, store-page preparation, launch readiness and post-launch reviews.
n
- Identify blockers and risks early, and drive clear decisions, owners and next actions.
n
- Keep developers and internal teams aligned on scope, responsibilities and deadlines.
n
- Build reusable publishing processes, templates and project documentation.
n
n
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
n
- End-to-end publishing or release experience on at least one commercially released PC or console game.
n
- Experience working directly with developers and cross-functional teams.
n
- Strong understanding of Steam and indie game publishing.
n
- Practical experience in project planning, QA, localisation, asset coordination and release management.
n
- Strong professional communication and stakeholder-management skills.
n
- Ability to independently resolve ambiguity, manage risks and move projects forward.
n
- Comfort managing several projects with different scopes and timelines.
n
- Solid judgement about when to challenge, escape or make a recommendation.
n
n
NICE TO HAVE
n
n
- Two or more shipped titles.
n
- Experience with international or regional publishing.
n
- Experience coordinating external QA, localisation or creative vendors.
n
- Familiarity with Steam pricing, discounts, wishlists and launch performance.
n
n
WHY JOIN US
n
You will own meaningful projects rather than one small function inside a large pipeline. You will work directly with developers, help shape the publishing approach and build systems that support UltraPlayers as our portfolio grows.
