What you’ll be doing

You’ll be given the opportunity to develop your underwriting skills while working closely with a strong broker panel. Your role will include:

- Underwriting new business and renewals for residential strata risks within your delegated authority
- Providing high-quality support and service to an allocated broker panel
- Building robust relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders




- Assessing risks and applying underwriting guidelines
- Developing your understanding of risk selection, pricing and portfolio profitability
- Working with the team to continually improve service standards
- Managing your workload with strong attention to detail and time management

You don’t need to be an experienced Underwriter. We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- 12+ months’ experience in Property Claims, Insurance Customer Service or Underwriting Assistance
- A genuine interest in moving into Underwriting
- Property experience is ideal, but Commercial Motor underwriting assistant experience will also be considered
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commercial mindset and desire to develop
- A competitive nature and drive to achieve results
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
