Job Description

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering the global network connectivity that underpins next-generation AI infrastructure.

We're looking for an experienced Global WAN Connectivity Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of WAN, fibre and carrier connectivity across a rapidly expanding international data centre footprint.
n
This is an execution-focused leadership role where you'll work closely with engineering, infrastructure deployment and telecommunications providers to ensure every site is online, resilient and ready before production go-live.

The Opportunity
n
You'll take ownership of global WAN connectivity, driving fibre deployments, ISP provisioning, carrier escalations and bandwidth readiness across multiple international locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and enjoys driving vendors and stakeholders to deliver against ambitious timelines.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Own end-to-end delivery of global WAN, ISP and fibre connectivity across new and existing data centre deployments.
n
- Manage carrier relationships, ensuring bandwidth, resiliency, route diversity and operational readiness are achieved.
n
- Drive fibre installations, circuit provisioning, cross-connects and capacity upgrades.
n
- Lead carrier escalations to remove deployment blockers and accelerate delivery.
n
- Coordinate closely with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Procurement and Operations teams.
n
- Oversee failover testing, route validation and connectivity acceptance activities.
n
- Identify risks around bandwidth, redundancy and carrier delivery, implementing mitigation strategies.
n
- Forecast future connectivity requirements to support rapid infrastructure growth.
n
- Develop reporting, governance and deployment tracking processes across global connectivity programs.

About You
n
You'll bring a strong background in large-scale WAN infrastructure and carrier delivery, with the ability to influence both technical and commercial stakeholders.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
- 8+ years' experience in WAN, telecommunications, carrier operations or fibre infrastructure.
n
- Strong knowledge of WAN architecture, ISP delivery, carrier provisioning and route diversity.
n
- Experience managing telecommunications providers, dark fibre operators and colocation partners.
n
- Proven ability to drive vendor accountability and resolve complex delivery issues.
n
- Experience delivering connectivity into enterprise, hyperscale, cloud or data centre environments.
n
- Solid understanding of resilient network design, bandwidth planning and high-availability infrastructure.
n
- Exposure to DWDM, backbone networks, Internet Exchanges (IX) or long-haul transport is highly regarded.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
n
- The ability to manage multiple global deployment programs simultaneously.
