We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join exclusively at Kidscape Early Learning Centre Dubbo. This is a genuine, ongoing full-time role responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for children in accordance with childcare nutrition guidelines, food safety standards, and centre policies.

n

The successful candidate may be placed at any of our regional centres listed above, depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
n
- Prepare meals for children with allergies and special dietary requirements.
n
- Estimate daily food requirements.
n
- Implement rotating menus.
n
- Order food supplies.
n
- Maintain food temperatures.
n
- Complete food safety records.
n
- Maintain kitchen hygiene.
n
- Manage stock rotation.
n




- Ensure compliance with Food Standards Australia.
n
- New Zealand.
n
- Work with the Centre Director regarding attendance numbers and dietary requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent)
n
- Minimum 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook.
n
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management
n

- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- Experience in childcare, education, healthcare, or similar settings highly regarded
n

- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
