Dental Assistant – Experienced or Trainee/Junior

Shire Periodontics is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant—or a motivated trainee/junior—to join our friendly, long-standing team in a contemporary, bright specialist clinic overlooking the Sutherland Shire.

n

Dental experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to train the right candidate to become a skilled specialist chairside assistant. We are looking for someone committed to learning, contributing to the team and developing a rewarding long-term career with our practice.

About the role

n

- Periodontal treatment and charting
n
- Oral surgery
n
- Implant surgery
n
- Infection prevention and sterilisation procedures
n
- Hands-on patient care
n

n

The work is interesting and varied, with exposure to a broad range of clinical and surgical procedures. Reception experience would also be highly regarded.

n

Working arrangements and remuneration

n

This position may be structured as either part time, or close to full-time. Working arrangements, responsibilities and the scope of the role will be discussed with the successful candidate, taking into account their experience, capabilities,



availability and preferences for their ideal position.

n

There are no late-night shifts. The starting hourly rate will range from $28 to $45 per hour, depending on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications and capabilities.

- Previous experience in periodontics

- A strong understanding and application of infection control protocols

- The initiative to work both independently and collaboratively

- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
n
- Previous reception experience
n
