Pacific Supports & Mentoring has been operating in Townsville for the past three years, and our North Queensland arm and demand is growing. We're looking for a Team Lead to take ownership of the region: leading, training and developing our local team, representing PSM with stakeholders, and driving business development — while staying connected to the work through hands-on support delivery.

You'll step into an established operation with real clients, real momentum and a reputation already built — then make it bigger. This is a leadership role first: the team, the standards, the relationships and the growth of the region sit with you.

This is a hybrid, flexible outreach role — leadership, stakeholder and business development work balanced with supports delivered out in the community across Townsville and North QLD, not behind a desk. Our head office is based in South East Queensland, and you'll report to and collaborate directly with management: real backing, real autonomy, and a genuine opportunity to grow with the region.

The role — leadership first

Regional leadership & oversight

n

n
- Lead, mentor, train and develop our growing local team of support/ youth workers — onboarding and oversight.
n




- Review and uphold service quality: staff supervision, shift documentation, incident reviews and performance feedback
n
- Provide oversight of PSM's North QLD operations, working in conjunction with management
n
- Represent PSM at stakeholder meetings — support coordinators, plan managers, allied health and community organisations
n
- Case Management Experience is advantageous. Transferable skills from synergestic sectors Community Services Preferred; Youth, Aged Care, Child safety
n
- Being pro active with management oversight. Continuous stakeholder updates and documentation
n
- Own regional reporting and communication with management and our South East QLD head office: client progress, incidents, team performance and service quality
n
- Drive on-the-ground business development — build referral networks, identify opportunities and grow PSM's presence across Townsville and North QLD

Hands-on support delivery

n

- Provide direct 1:1 supports to participants — community access, daily living, skill building and mentoring. Setting the standard for other staff.
n
- Model what great support work looks like: reliable, engaged, strengths-based and culturally safe
n
- Build robust,



trusted relationships with participants and their families
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Experience in community services: disability services, youth services, or aged care / community services (essential)
n
- Experience working with sensitive and complex cases, with a mature, experienced approach
n
- Leadership experience — formal or informal — and the confidence to train, review and build a team
n
- The self-drive to run a region day-to-day with real autonomy and a direct line to management
n
- Strong communication skills — comfortable in a stakeholder meeting and on the gym floor in the same day
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain
n
- Current First Aid & CPR, driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
