What you'll be leading

n

You'll take ownership of the complete logistics and operational function including:

n

- National transport operations
n
- Fleet performance and asset utilisation
n
- Route optimisation and scheduling
n
- Operational safety and compliance
n
- Customer service excellence
n
- Labour planning and workforce optimisation
n
- Continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Operational reporting and commercial performance
n

You'll also lead a team of experienced operational leaders while providing strategic direction across a broader workforce of drivers, supervisors and operational personnel.

What you'll be doing

Every day will be different, but your focus will include:

- Developing and executing logistics strategies that improve productivity and reduce costs
n
- Driving fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
n
- Leading transport, scheduling and operational performance across multiple business units
n
- Creating industry-leading customer service standards
n
- Building KPI dashboards and using data to drive smarter decisions
n
- Leading operational transformation projects
n
- Standardising national operating procedures
n
- Partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
n
- Delivering measurable improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

About You

n

You'll already be operating in a senior logistics,



transport or operations leadership position and enjoy solving complex operational challenges. You'll bring experience such as:

- Leading large logistics or transport operations
n
- Fleet management and operational optimisation
n
- Driving continuous improvement and operational change
n
- Building high-performing teams
n
- Managing significant operational budgets
n
- Developing KPI reporting and performance frameworks
n
- Working with executive stakeholders
n
- Strong commercial and customer focus
n

n

Experience from industries such as waste management, transport, industrial services, petroleum, chemicals, manufacturing, construction materials, mining or other heavy industries will be highly regarded.

Compliance & Safety

n

You'll have a strong understanding of operational governance and regulatory compliance, with exposure to areas such as:

- NHVR

- Chain of Responsibility
n
- Heavy Vehicle National Law
n
- EPA requirements
n
- Workplace Health & Safety
n
- Dangerous Goods
n
- Multi-site operational compliance
