AIMS Associates Pty Ltd t/as Chiltern IGA is an independent fresh food retailer located in Chiltern VIC 3683. We are currently seeking a full-time Store Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a Store Management role and possess the ability to oversee store operations, staff management, merchandising, ordering, and stock and inventory control.

An annual remuneration between $79,500 and $87,500 plus superannuation will be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience. Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award (MA000004).

Key Responsibilities

n

- Assume responsibility and demonstrate accountability for overseeing store operations and performance.
n
- Supervise a high-volume supermarket with a focus on Fresh Foods, ensuring an optimal stock assortment.
n
- Attain forecasted sales, gross profit, and wage targets.
n
- Manage pricing, promote sales initiatives, and execute periodic store manager promotions.
n
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and audit standards.
n




- Uphold company standards and implement procedures for loss prevention.
n
- Provide effective leadership to the team, including Departmental Managers.
n
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service throughout the store.
n
- Negotiate and uphold favorable business terms with vendors.
n
- Maintain communication with suppliers, customers, and team members to achieve desired outcomes.
n
- Drive sales and lead the team to achieve profitable results.
n
- Engage with the local community and represent the company.
n
- Recruit, train, develop, and oversee staff performance.
n
- Maintain records and generate reports for ownership, covering financial accounts, staffing, legislative compliance, and other company activities.

Skill & Experience

n

n
- Minimum 1 year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in retail or store management, or in a departmental management or supervisory role involving financial duties.
n
- Proven ability to manage retail supermarket operations effectively.
n
- Sound understanding of stock presentation, loss prevention, and inventory control.
n
- Robust customer-focused approach.
n
- Availability to work weekends as required.
