About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused High Risk Trainer & Assessor to join our team in Western Australia. The successful candidate will deliver nationally recognised training and assessment for high-risk work licences and related courses, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to work safely and competently.
n
This role offers the opportunity to work with individuals and corporate clients across a range of industries, including construction, mining, logistics, manufacturing, and warehousing.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver and assess nationally recognised high-risk work licence (HRWL) training in accordance with training package and regulatory requirements.
n
- Conduct theory and practical training using contemporary adult learning principles.
n
- Assess learner competency using valid, reliable, fair, and flexible assessment practices.
n
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
n
- Ensure all training equipment and facilities meet workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Promote a strong safety culture and industry best practice.
n
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Maintain professional knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and training requirements.
n

Essential Criteria
n
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent as required).
n
- Current High Risk Work Licence(s) relevant to the training being delivered (e.g. Forklift, Order Picking Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, Crane, Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding, Pressure Equipment or other HRWL classes).
n
- Demonstrated recent industry experience in high-risk work operations.
n
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and safe work practices.
n
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to deliver engaging classroom and practical training.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Accreditation or approval to conduct High Risk Work Licence assessments in Western Australia.
n
- Experience delivering training in mining, construction, logistics, or heavy industry.
n
- First Aid qualification.
n
- Experience using learning management systems and digital training resources.
n
