ABOUT KINDA-MINDI

Kinda-Mindi Early Learning Centres are a small group of services, with locations around Sydney. We cater for children aged 0-6 years of age.

ABOUT THE SERVICE
n
As our motto is "To Motivate, To Stimulate, To Challenge", we are looking for an experienced educators of various qualifications to join the team within our Bella Vista service.
n
Kinda-Mindi, Bella Vista is a 124-place service with 6 rooms, plus a children's cafeteria for meal times and two dedicated staff spaces - one for rest and another for programming and study. Parking is available on-site and we are also close to public transport.
n
ABOUT THE ROLE
n
We are looking for experienced educators who hold one of the following qualifications - Certificate III, Diploma, or Bachelor of Education/Teaching for ECEC - for permanent and casual roles within our service.
n
Educators must be passionate and committed to the provision of environments and practices that support our goal to motivate, stimulate and challenge the children within our service.
n
The right candidate will be versatile for rostering purposes across opening hours. The role will involve working alongside other ECT's, Diploma and Certificate III educators, facilitating a high quality curriculum and school readiness program.
n
You will have the ongoing support of a dedicated Educational Leader to encourage and inspire both you and the team on curriculum decision making and throughout your research and reflective practice.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Contribute to individual child assessment documentation and curriculum planning.
n
- Ensuring the health and safety needs of all children are supported.
n
- Provision and maintenance of environments which fosters curiosity and encourages exploration and engagement.
n
- Demonstrate and promote professional standards at all times, ensuring positive and respectful relationships with children, families, fellow team members and the wider community.
n
- Engage in reflective practice and curriculum considerations relating to inclusion and equity within your room and the service as a whole.
n
- Advocate for the rights of children and their families.
n
- Abide by all service policies and procedures, ensuring high quality practices are implemented at all times.
n
n
Candidates need to be dedicated, reliable and committed to working within our team. The ability to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm is helpful.
n
The role is due to commence ASAP - however we are willing to wait through relevant notice periods for the right people.
n
ABOUT YOU
n
Qualification Criteria
n
You will have one of the following qualifications:
n
n
- ACECQA approved Diploma qualification; or
n
- ACECQA approved Certificate III qualification; or
n
- ACECQA approved Bachelor of Education/Teaching for Early Childhood Education.
n
n
AND
n
n
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate/s (E.g. 004 or 012).
n
- Completion of accredited child protection course (E.g. CHCPRT001, CHCPRT025)
n
- Completion of required child safety training (Geccko - Foundations).
n
n
Essential Criteria
n
You will also have:
n
n
- 2+ years of paid work experience in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector (Work placements and practicums are not included for experience purposes).
n
- A sound understanding of the National Quality Framework, including National Law & Regulations, National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.
n
- A passion for developing, planning and implementing an innovative educational program with a commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice.
n
- A deep understanding of child safety and protection, and the National Child Safe Principles.
n
- A commitment to empowering, respecting and protecting children and young people through the provision of child safe environments.
n
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
n
- Computer literacy - experience using web-based documentation systems preferred.
n
- Current approved Working with Children Check clearance number.
n
n
Desirable:
n
Experience with online documentation programs.
n
