Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact in aged care? Join Western District Health Service as our Finance Business Partner - Aged Care, where you'll play a critical role in supporting the financial sustainability, compliance and performance of our residential aged care and home care services.
n
Working closely with the Executive Director Aged Care, operational leaders and the Finance Team, you'll deliver expert financial analysis, reporting and business partnering support that enables informed decision-making and helps ensure high-quality, sustainable care outcomes for our residents, clients and community.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Financial Management & Sustainability
n Manage budgets, analyse financial performance and provide recommendations that support the long-term sustainability of aged care services.
n
Financial Reporting & Analysis
n Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
n
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management
n Develop accurate forecasts and cash flow models that support operational planning and financial stability.
n
Business Partnering
n Work closely with executive and operational leaders, providing trusted financial advice and insights that improve service performance and outcomes.
n
Aged Care Finance Oversight
n Support the financial management of Residential Aged Care, Support at Home, Transition Care Program (TCP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services.
n
Funding, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
n Ensure compliance with funding requirements, grant acquittals and aged care financial reporting obligations.
n
Strategic Analysis & Business Cases
n Develop business cases and evaluate financial opportunities,
risks and investment decisions that support organisational objectives.
n
Continuous Improvement & Governance
n Support audits, benchmarking and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial performance and governance.
n
What You Bring
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
n
- Demonstrated experience in a finance role within a regulated workplace
n
- Minimum two years accounting experience
n
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting capability
n
- Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills
n
- High-level Excel and financial systems experience
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights
n
- Knowledge of aged care, healthcare funding or government-funded environments will be highly regarded
n
- Commitment to continuous improvement, accountability and collaboration
n
