Job Description

Chew Chew Bistro is seeking an experienced Chef and/or Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full time basis. Based in Palmwoods, Queensland, this role is central to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. You will play a key part in maintaining our high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, whilst working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key responsibilities

n

Preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency with our menu specifications and culinary vision

n

Managing food preparation

n

Monitoring food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service

n

Collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service demands during peak periods

n

Assisting with menu development, recipe testing, and food costing where applicable

n

Receiving and storing deliveries, managing inventory, and minimising food waste

n

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a hospitality or restaurant setting

n

Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes to a high standard

n

Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and health regulations

n

Excellent organisational and time management skills,



with the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

n

A passion for quality food and continuous improvement in culinary techniques

n

Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues

n

Experience with modern kitchen equipment and cooking techniques

n
